During this Lenten season, consider acts of almsgiving with charitable causes such the "40 Cans for Lent Food Drive" sponsored by Catholic Charities - Diocese of Laredo (CCDOL). Making a donation of canned food to CCDOL helps feed the hungry in our diocese. The food drive takes place from March 6 - April 20, 2019. 

Suggested non-perishable food items include canned tuna/chicken, canned soups, canned vegetables/fruit, peanut butter, jelly, rice, beans, pasta, spaghetti sauce, noodles (macaroni and cheese, fideo), vegetable oil, sugar, and salt.

*For every ten cans donated, students receive 25 community service hours.
