On behalf of his Excellency, Most Reverend James A. Tamayo, D.D., and the diocesan staff, we join in prayer for the repose of the soul of Reverend Mr. Jose Francisco Perez. Deacon Perez was called home to our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, in Carrizo Springs, Texas. Deacon Perez was ordained on the 14th of June, 1987 in the Archdiocese of San Antonio, Texas. He was assigned to serve at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Carrizo Springs, Texas. We have been blessed throughout the years with Deacon Perez’s ministry in the Diocese of Laredo.

The Funeral services are the following: Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Leonard Funeral Home (707 W. Houston Street, Carrizo Springs, TX.). The Holy Rosary will be at 6:30 pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Carrizo Springs, TX. The Resurrection Mass will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022, at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, followed by the burial at Mount Hope Cemetery in Carrizo Springs, TX. Our prayers on behalf of the Diocese of Laredo go out to Mrs. Esperanza Perez and the Perez family.
