Diocesan News

Dear Parents and Guardians, We continue to offer our prayers and assistance to those impacted by Hurricane Harvey. We especially want to open the doors to our Catholic Schools in our Diocese to those students displaced from their Catholic and public schools in their home towns and Dioceses. Parents and Guardians who are interested in enrolling their child in our Catholic schools may contact the Catholic Schools office at 956-753-5208.

Catholic Charities – Diocese of Laredo continues to strengthen and empower families through its diverse programs and social services through strong community support.  Catholic Charities – Diocese of Laredo, through its Disaster Relief component, is currently serving evacuees & refugees who find themselves in our city.

On behalf of the Diocese of Laredo, I extend un abrazo fuerte to all our brothers and sisters in Christ who are being affected by Hurricane Harvey. This hits especially close to me because I grew up in Corpus Christi and went to college and attended seminary in Houston. My heartfelt prayers are with each of you during this time of struggle and suffering.

My Brother Priests:
Over the past days, all of us have been sadly following the historic devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey and the ongoing flooding of many areas in Texas.  It is difficult to estimate how many thousands of our brothers and sisters have lost their homes and possessions.  As a people of God, let us come to the aid of our neighbors.

Who can attend? All youth who are currently in High School of the ages 14-18.

Young people! Do not let this moment pass you by. School is busy with homework, athletic practice, academic clubs, and friends, but where do you have room for God? Are you in a youth group? Do you take time out of your day for Mass or the Rosary?
