Evangelization

Evangelization is the mission of the Church and a call to each Catholic to deepen his or her own faith, develop a personal and intimate encounter with Jesus Christ and the Gospel with others through all new media available in this day and age.  We are summoned to an authentic and renewed conversion to the Lord in a way that we will personally be transformed and spread the message to those around us by living the Gospel in our daily lives.

What should we know about our Catholic Faith that dates back to the days of Jesus?

Reading the Holy Bible (NASB), researching Church History, studying the Catechism of the Catholic Church, studying the Vatican II Documents, Constitutions and memorizing Scripture to defend your faith. (1 Peter 3:15).

As adults, we should be seeking Adult Catechism Formation and be continually active in the Sacraments of Confession and the Eucharist.  As parents, we should make sure our children have or are being initiated in the Sacraments of Baptism, Holy Communion, Confession and Confirmation and continue to form their young faith through adulthood.

Our Catholic faith should express a personal desire to seek leadership in the Lay Ministries of the Church.  Answer the call to teach Youth or Adult Catechism, become a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, join the Choirs, and make the time to live a retreat like ACTS and participate with your parish priest and your church in all the events being planned throughout the Liturgical Year of the Church.  The Lord has given us each talents that we must share with one another.  (1 Peter 4:10)
