We are excited to announce that the Diocese of Laredo will once again participate in #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving, on December 1, 2020.
Your generous support helps others in their faith journey! With your help, we can minister to the physical and spiritual needs of the people of the Diocese of Laredo while bringing them closer to Christ. Here are a few examples of some of our ministries in action:
- Catholic Charities – Diocese of Laredo assisted over 4,200 households impacted by COVID-19 through distribution of fruits, vegetables, and cleaning supplies through their food pantry and drive-up events this summer. Their most recent event included free flu vaccines to help people who are uninsured.
- Casa Guadalupe and the Vocations Office overlook the formation and education of a transitional deacon and 7 seminarians currently serving as Acolytes as they study and discern a vocation to the priesthood. In addition, 400 altar servers receive formation through the work of this ministry.
- La Fe, the Catholic Magazine of the Diocese of Laredo serves to evangelize to over 12,000 households every quarter.
- KHOY 88.1 FM, our easy-listening Catholic radio station can be streamed online for religious programing including live Mass from the San Agustin Cathedral on Sundays and Todo Con Amor, Bishop Tamayo’s show.
You can help us share the love of God with more people with even a small donation.
Will you consider giving back on Tuesday, December 1st in support of the Diocese of Laredo’s vision to build unity within our diocesan community?
If you are worried you might miss the date, there is an Advanced Giving Day phase starting November 16th through November 30th.
