It is our great joy to invite you to our Annual Diocesan Conference to be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018, from 8:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the LISD Performing Arts Center (2400 San Bernardo Ave., Laredo, TX 78040). Registration and hospitality begin at 8 a.m. This conference is a wonderful opportunity to deeply understand the call to discipleship and be formed with the tools to go out into the world as missionary disciples. The theme of this conference is “Disciples of Christ: Witnesses of God’s Love” which is inspired by Pope Francis’ first apostolic exhortation Evangelii Gaudium (Joy of the Gospel).
Early registration is $30 through March 30th.

DYNAMIC SPEAKERS: This year, a dynamic group of speakers will discuss different aspects of Christian discipleship. Most Reverened Michael J. Boulette, D. Min, Auxiliary Bishop of San Antonio, will serve as our keynote speaker.
We are also proud to welcome two guests whose charisma and love for Christ are sure to be witnesses to God’s love: Padre Héctor Jiménez Benavides, from the Diocese of Nuevo Laredo and Dr. Verónica Rayas Ph.D. from The Diocese of El Paso.
Three of the breakout session speakers are members of our community. Two are young diocesan priests and one a religious sister: Fr. Jose "Joe" Cadena, pastor of San Agustín Cathedral; Padre Heleodoro "Lolo" Lozano-Macias, pastor of Mother Cabrini Church; and Sister Sydney Moss, FMA from Mary Help of Christians School.
AMENITIES: Simultaneous translations will be available. The registration fee includes lunch and snacks. Music entertainment will be provided by St. Jude Music Ministry. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered and Holy Mass will be Celebrated by Most Reverend Bishop James A. Tamayo.
