The office of Family Life Ministry invites you to participate in the following Pro-Life contests, and to share this information with others.  

Pro-Life Essay Contest

High school students are invited to electronically submit an original essay regarding the topic “Jesus showed us the Good News: Every Life is Precious!”

Essays must be no more than 300 words, written in English and submitted to Martha Miller at mmiller@dioceseoflaredo.org by October 9, 2020. The winner will receive a $50 gift card.

Pro-Life Prayer

The entire diocesan community (all ages) is invited to write an original prayer following the theme: “Jesus showed us the Good News: Every Life is Precious!” The competition is open to ALL individuals residing in any of the seven counties of the Diocese of Laredo.

The prayer may be written in English or in Spanish. Prayers must be no more than 200 words, and submitted electronically to Martha Miller at mmiller@dioceseoflaredo.org by October 23, 2020. The winner will receive a $25 gift card.

***The two annual diocesan events – the Life Chain in October and the Rosary Walk typically held in January – will be cancelled keeping in mind the well-being of our communities and abiding to the restrictions set due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
